sandy just to the north near harrisburg, pennsylvania at this hour. some pretty good rain rates are still falling at washington, just north and west toward northern montgomery county and barnsville, of all places, and the rain will follow for the next several hours. i think around mid-day, things will start to taper off. look at the swirl in the atmosphere there. we're not done with the rain showers yet, as it continues to spin around that area of low pressure, which will be very slow to push off to the north and west later today. lots of rain in the forecast, the threat of winds still out there. we'll see gusts of about 50 in the next several hours. in fact, just looking at some of the information, in maryland, 76 miles per hour winds. parts of the area did get hurricane force winds. 29 in washington, still quite blustery to the west, martinsburg, 43, 48 miles per hour wind gusts in west chester. going to be a cold one today. highs only in the mid-to upper 40s with but i'm not sure you'll see any sun light but things will be improving. >> i know the storm was deadly. i don't kn

. by tuesday afternoon still 60 mile an hour winds. looks like maybe east of harrisburg or something in that range. so it doesn't move very quickly from here to here. that's a long duration wind storm for us. heavy rains. winds potentially gusting 60 to 70 miles an hour. maybe half a foot of rain. potentially even a foot in some areas east of the bay. soggy grounds, strong wind, trees down. power goes out. it's going to be a mess. then as we get into wednesday, this storm is going to pull up into new york state thursday morning and will not be much of an issue for us. a couple of things i want to point out. some of the winds and waves. we've got waves on the east side of this potentially over 40 feet there behind our animation bug going on. off to the west winds now gusting 38 miles an hour. virginia beach. 43 norfolk. this is the buoy i was talking about at the top of the weather cast with andrea. this is about 15 miles east of rehoboth. 54 mile an hour wind gust. sustained winds at 40. seas 23 feet. saw the video of the waves crashing into rehoboth. we have waves gusting to 39 in o
